Congratulations to Sumter County High School Assistant Principal Cody Moncrief

Congratulations to Sumter County High School Assistant Principal Cody Moncrief for successfully completing the Governor’s School Leadership Academy (GSLA) Aspiring Principal Program.
Through a partnership between the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement (GOSA), GSLA is designed to identify, prepare, and support school leaders as they move toward becoming transformational principals. The program supports leaders in their readiness to become the leader needed for the challenges of the school where they serve. Mr. Moncrief participated in the state-wide cohort during the 2022-2023 academic year. The GSLA Aspiring Principal Program provides context-driven learning experiences for the challenges faced by first-year principals and is designed for educators ready for new leadership challenges. Participants developed their leadership strengths and expanded their support network by working alongside other leaders who are also striving to positively impact their schools. The program aims to increase the success of school leaders in Georgia, ultimately benefiting the students and communities they serve.
