Sherriff Eric Bryant presented the School Resource Officers for the 2022 – 2023 School Year

SROs Introduced at BOE

Superintendent Walter Knighton introduced Sherriff Eric Bryant and thanked him and his team
for their continued support of Sumter County School. He thanked Sherriff Bryant and the SROs
for helping keep our students, faculty, and staff safe during the day.
Bryant stated, “We work closely with all of our principals and administrators to ensure a safe
school environment. We look forward to not only supporting our schools during the day, but we
want to extend that courtesy and support throughout the extra curriculum events. The SROs are
trying to stay focused throughout the buildings and have already taken proactive measures with
the principals and ensuring the safety of our schools. We just want to thank the Board of
Education for their support.”
