Sumter County School Nutrition Department Holds Manager and Assistant Manager Meeting
During their weekly managers’ meetings, the managers and assistant managers assess operation
processes and procedures. They also review and discuss challenges with menus, orders, and
staffing. Margaret Goodin, Director of School Nutrition, thanked the group for all they do to
keep the lunch rooms running smoothly. The SCS Nutrition Department has worked tirelessly to
get healthy food to children during COVID-19, and they will keep working hard to serve
children healthy meals this coming school year. Sumter County Schools Superintendent Walter
Knighton expresses his appreciation to the SCS Nutrition Department and the school meal heroes
working in the school lunch rooms.
Goodin stated, “We will keep working together to make sure students get healthy meals and
snacks this school year. The school meal heroes will serve over 100K meals to our students
during the month of August.”
